K2 Conservatory Roof System

Is the K2 system fully sculptured?
The simple answer is yes. As part of K2's goal to offer products which enjoy the highest levels of aesthetic appeal, the entire system - including internal and external cappings have a unique sculptured appearance.

Is there any evidence of the system’s quality?
Yes. Apart from its widespread popularity with fabricators and installers up and down the country, the K2 system is BBA approved for both white and woodgrain products.

Does the system have any sort of warranty?
Yes. In fact, K2 are so confident in the strength, durability and performance of their systems, that all white and woodgrain effects are backed by a steadfast, no quibble 10 year guarantee.

Is there a low pitch roof system?
Yes. We offer a 35mm modular low pitch conservatory roof system, which comes as an installation ready kit. Known as ‘L2 in a Pack’, this system offers sculptured cappings as well as the option of opal, bronze or ‘Silhouette’ polycarbonate.

What glazing options are available?
There are numerous glazing options available - including 16mm, 24/25mm, and K2's unique performance glass, Celsius, which offers innovative heat reflection/thermal insulation properties. There is also the choice of standard or heavy duty glazing bars.

Is there a choice of finials and crestings?
Yes. Clearview aims to offer you as much design freedom as possible. As such, Clearview offers both modern and traditional look crestings as well as finials.

Can I ventilate the ridge?
Yes. K2 design all their products with ease of use - as well as ease of installation - uppermost in mind and the K2 ridge includes a ventilation facility. However, the K2 roof vent provides far more effective ventilation.

What angles will the ridge accept?
The K2 ridge can accommodate 17.5 - 37.5 degree pitches. There is also the option of a 25 degree fixed pitch ridge.

What angles will the wallplate accept?
K2 has developed a variable pitch wallplate able to accommodate pitches of between 15 - 30 degree A fixed wallplate is also available which operates from 5-15 degree

What is the life expectancy of a K2 roof?
Thanks to K2's continued commitment to R&D and their steadfast quality control procedures, a K2 conservatory roof system should have a life span of 25 years or more.

Are different colours available?
Yes. The K2 system is available in white, blue white, mahogany, golden oak, rosewood and beech green. Other colours and the facility to laminate short runs of window profile are also available on request.

Do the gutter components and injection mouldings match the laminated cappings?
Yes. These products are available in all the main colours to match the laminated finish.

Is the L2 system fully sculptured?
Yes. The L2 conservatory roof system is a fully sculptured low pitch conservatory roof system. All internal and external cappings benefit from a unique sculptured appearance.

Can blinds be fitted?
Yes. Polycarbonate has a much higher working temperature than PVC and therefore can resist any heat build up that may occur as a result of fitting blinds.

What sort of warranty is there on the product?
K2 offer a 10-year warranty on both L2’s white and woodgrain effect.

What is the life expectancy of an L2 roof?
The L2 system should have a lifespan exceeding 25 years.

What colours are available?
L2 kits are available in white, golden oak, mahogany and rosewood. Other colours are available and we also have the ability to laminate short runs of window profile.

Do I need to order a separate head packer or frame extension?
L2 kits come complete with a box section eaves beam. However, there is an option of an eaves frame adaptor which may be screwed to the head of the window.

What is the maximum projection without a purlin?
The maximum projection without a purlin is 4250mm.

Will the glazing panels fade over time?
No. L2 is glazed with polycarbonate which has a 10 year colour guarantee and is a far superior glazing material than PVC. The polycarbonate is available in opal bronze and Heatguard

Will the internal cappings match the laminated window profiles?
Yes. All the cappings from the L2 system are laminated with the same foil used on the window profile.
